“The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.”

Idols are made of earthen materials. Much like many of the secular false religions (e.g. humanism, Catholicism, and “the science”), they are man made.
Those who make these idols are like their creation – dead. They have eyes, ears, and mouths, but they cannot see, hear, or speak Truth (though they often claim the ability to “speak truth to power”).
They are the walking dead. Their spirits are dead and are housed within corpses.
The most realistic “zombie” film would center around a mass of “living dead” who, when confronted with the Gospel of the Living God, became alive – or born again – if they believed on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
That is what we are without the Savior. We are like these senseless idols and those who made them.
There are billions of zombies who need to be made alive right now, and we have the one and only cure.
