“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Isaiah 5:20
This is an oft quoted verse, but it has taken on a new meaning for me this year.
We are seeing this fulfilled like no time I can remember. We just had a presidential candidate, Joe Biden, frame this election as “light vs darkness,” with the Democrats representing the light.
The party of Jim Crow, slavery, and abortion is the “light”? Woe unto them!
People are now “shouting” their abortions. They are proud of baby murder. They openly celebrate infanticide. Woe unto them!
Violent riots are “peaceful.” Woe unto them!
Christians are “bigots” that need silenced. Woe unto them!
Churches should remained closed while “protests” are allowed en masse. Woe unto them!
“Minor Attracted Persons” should be treated with dignity. Woe unto them!
Our children should be taught that homosexuality is “normal.” Woe unto them!
They want to teach children as young as third grade about “mutual masturbation.” Woe unto them!
Gay pride, black pride, brown pride, illegal immigration, rioting, looting, baby murder, discriminating against whites, Christians, and straight people are all considered “good” right now. Woe unto them!
The world seems upside down right now. Light is darkness and the sweet is bitter.
We can rest assured that those of us who walk in the LORD are not numbered in the group that shall be judged according to this verse.
Our Light is Christ Jesus, and He will never be darkness to us Christians.
