Walking Circumspectly

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15‬

In my Sunday school class, we have been talking about our “Daily Walk,” and how we take many Biblical concepts for granted.

We discussed physical walking and all the health benefits that come along with it, but that our “Daily Walk” needs to be spiritual as well.

Part of our walk is to study and meditate on the Bible every day. Another part is daily prayer.

Walking requires purpose, or else it is just wandering. Wandering without caution is foolish. To walk circumspectly is to walk with caution and with situational awareness.

Verse 14 tells us that “Christ shall give the light.” It is the light of the Lord by which we can see our surroundings and watch for danger.

Our adversary, the Devil, walks with purpose, seeking whom he may devour. Likewise, we Christians need to be sober, be vigilant, and walk circumspectly.

Fools wander. The wise walk.

  1. Well said my brother!! In the world we live in it is hard for a lot of folks to walk with the Lord on a daily basis…Satan is alive and well and trying to interrupt the walk of the faithful.
