“Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”
When I was a boy, I struggled with understanding the King James Bible. However, I stuck with it and prayed for understanding.
I understand the beauty and complexity of the grammar and syntax now. I truly appreciate the word of God in the KJV.
Furthermore, the more times I read my King James Bible; the more I hear it, the more I understand God’s direction for my life.
I increasing my knowledge and wisdom with each read through.
I am also more capable of observing or acting on the words of the Book as I come to understand it more completely.
I have so much more to learn and understand, but I thank the LORD for my ol’ KJV Bible, because I know it is my final authority through which God speaks to me.
“I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.”
It is sometimes difficult to wait for the Lord. I too often want things done on MY time. I want them done MY way.
But I, not often enough, realize that in order for the Lord to order my steps, things must be done on HIS time in HIS way.
God’s timing is perfect. His will and His word are infallible.
So today, I must wait for the Lord and hope in His word.
By better understanding the Bible, the more hope I have.
