“He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.”
Proverbs 10:18
This verse is especially prudent as we enter the most vicious election season I have ever experienced.
Each side right now is slandering the other without regard for decorum or modesty. It’s just plain nasty.
Furthermore, we just had a week of the Democrat National Convention in which the very same people who want to destroy the economy and shred the Constitution lied about their hatred for this country in virtually every segment.
With one breath, they talked about how great and wonderful America is, while talking about systemic racism with the next.
There are fools all over our world, and it will only get worse in the weeks ahead.
We must be sure to not fall into the trap. We must not slander or try to hide hatred – we are to love our enemies.
Pray for our leaders, fellow citizens, and those that hate Christians and Jesus Christ. Pray for the fools and avoid becoming one.
