“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5
This is part of one of the major prophecies of Jesus Christ written about 700 years before the birth of the Savior.
According to some estimates, there is a 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 chance of eight Old Testament prophecies occurring. We know from the Gospels that many more passages about Jesus came to fruition than just eight.
The Biblical evidence for Christ’s birth, ministry, death, and resurrection is strong. We can verify His life through historical accounts.
Moreover, we can look at the “fruits” of His life. No other figure, religious or otherwise, in all of our history has had as much influence as the Lord Jesus Christ.
Christianity is the largest religious group of all time. There are more songs about Jesus than anyone. it is the name of Jesus that people use when swearing, and all will one day confess that He is Lord.
The most incredible, charitable, powerful, and prosperous nation of all time was founded on Biblical principles.
Moreover, many of the prophecies about Israel have come true, including the return to their land after centuries spread abroad.
We are literally witnessing prophecy come true in 2020. We are living in Matthew 24, and 2 Thessalonians 4 and 5 are coming soon. Then there will be Revelation.
If this passage in Isaiah 53 was fulfilled, the chances that Revelation will happen are even more likely.
Each fulfilled prophecy lends credibility to the Bible. The End Times are coming. The only question is, how soon?
Matthew 24 is the “beginning of sorrows.” If we are there, then what comes next should terrify those who have rejected Christ.
It’s not too late – yet. Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for you. Accept his free gift of salvation and spend eternity with Him.
Reject Him, and you will experience Hell on earth before an eternity in the Lake of Fire.
Will you join me in Heaven?
