John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
In my nearly 40 years of life, I have never seen the entire world in so much chaos. I have never experienced the amount of anti-Christian vitriol in the United States as I have over the past ten years or so.
I have personally experienced animosity toward my Christianity when I was in grad school. My daughter experienced it when inviting middle school children to church. They responded by ripping up Bible tracts and one boy even prank called the church. One need only turn on the nightly news or Democrat debates to see the most openly anti-Christian rhetoric I have ever witnessed coming from the media and politicians.
The curtains have been pulled back. Our society is becoming more brazen in their attacks on biblical Christianity. Tribulation is coming to America just as it has across the rest of the world.I thank God that His Son Jesus overcame the world.
I thank God that the tribulation we face will be temporary, and that we will one day enjoy eternity worshiping the Savior. I pray that I remember to be cheerful, even when being mocked and persecuted.
This world has been overcome, it just doesn’t know it yet.
