I Pledge Allegiance to the Son

John 19:15 “But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.”

This verse is indicative of modern “Christians” who put their politics above God. We see this from the Left as government has become their god. We also see this from the Right as they blindly follow someone like Trump without regard for his immorality or improper behavior.

When political persuasion comes up against core Christianity, the posers capitulate to the powers that rule the country, not the King who rules creation.

Replace “Caesar” with “Trump” or “Obama” and it becomes more obvious to anyone who watches the news these days. This is the attitude of religious leaders who crucified Christ. I am not naive to think that the same would not happen today – if not Christ Himself, then the rest of us who try to follow His words and doctrines.

I pray that I never pledge allegiance to an earthly man over the heavenly Son.
